i think it is one of those extremely wishy washy talks that allow you to fill in the gaps with whatever you would like it to mean. a good way of saying nothing but appearing to say something.

I think he is saying that ‘the ministry of love and hope is taking root’ in churches where New Age inspired ‘positive vibrations’ have been sent out instead of that tired the old ‘paralyising story line’ of ‘preaching Christ, and Him crucified’.
OK, sorry, this is a deliberately cynical and flippant misreading by me, for which I crave you forgiveness, but I read the link alongside 1 Corinthians 2 and was struck how those those verses from Paul, difficult as they are, convey a what I take to be the same sentiment with an immediate directness.
